The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

What We Believe

  • The Holy Scriptures

    We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God that reveals truth and guides us to put our beliefs into action.

    All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

    2 Timothy 3:16-18

  • The holy trinity

    We believe in the Holy Trinity, which consists of God The Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

    For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

    1  John 6:7

  • God the Creator of the Universe

    We believe God is the creator of all things. He is holy and sovereign. God is love. He is righteous and just. God is worthy of our obedience, love and worship.

    In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:

    For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:3

    And one cried out to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!" Isaiah 6:

    Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created. Revelation 4:11

  • Jesus Christ The Son of God

    We believe Jesus is God and he came to earth in the flesh. He lived a perfect and sinless life to fulfill the law of God, and took on sin and God's wrath so we may be saved and live in peace with God forever.

    And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

    Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me..." John 14:6

    For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

  • The Holy Spirit of God

    We believe in the The Holy Spirit. He is the breath of God who gives us life. He is an agent of scripture. He is an agent of man's salvation. He was sent by Jesus Christ to dwell with Christians as our helper and comforter.

    In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

    for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:21

  • Mankind

    We believe that mankind was created by God in His likeness to have dominion over all the earth. Every many suffers from sin and spiritual death and is in need of salvation. We can be saved from our sin only by Jesus Christ. We live to glorify God.

    Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26

    Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7

    For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

    Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Christ Jesus, to whom belongs the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen 1 Peter 4:11

  • Salvation

    We believe that all persons are in need of salvation from sin. Salvation is a gift from God through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins by suffering the wrath of God and death on a cross. He conquered the power of death and rose from the grave. He lives and reigns with God in heaven and intercedes on our behalf. Belief and repentance in the work of Jesus Christ is our eternal salvation.

    ...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... Romans 3:23

    For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

    For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

    But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13
